Job Hunting and Playing

Hey!
I completely echo what Leah said about not liking the job search thing. I'm working on that right now too. I just applied for a real job today and have one other thing I might apply for, but I'm still looking to see what I want to and where I want to be. The job I applied for is in Charlottesville which would be a sweet location!! But we'll see what happens. And prayers for some direction and a job would be great!

Right now I am home in Woodbridge working at the Dayschool at my church. Basically I'm playing with 3, 4, and 5 years olds for a couple of hours each day. I am working with a teacher in the cooking/sensory area so all the kids rotate through us and we do different stuff with them. Today we made clay and on Monday we make paper :) It only lasts till June 10th, so after that I'll be bored and jobless again. But for now its fun! The kids are hilarious and ridiculous!!

I'm pretty sure next weekend (first full weekend in June) I'll be down in Hburg. So if anyone is there let me know!

Hope you are all having a great beginning of the summer!

love,
jenny

The Real World

Hello All-

I hope this finds each of you well!  I am currently in Norfolk still job hunting a way... and let me tell you I am finding the real world job market to be a cruel, cruel place.  All applications are done online so this means you can be easily ignored and never know if you were considered for the position or not.  Very frustrating at times but I am hopeful that God knows exactly where and what I should be doing.  In the mean time, between the job hunting I have been having a great time hanging out with my sister, going to the beach, and being a bum... None of which I should truly complain about because I am not studying as I would be if I were in school! I am hoping to build up my resume in the coming year and reapply to the Dietetic Internships in the fall or spring since I wasn't placed.  So please continue to pray that God would bring clear direction in my life! I love you and miss you all so much!!!!

An Epic Journey

ok, so maybe "epic journey" is a bit of an overstatement. in fact, i'm not going anywhere at the moment. but i figured our first title had to be something glorious.

dear d-funk,

i love you. these four years have been dramatically changed for the better because of what i saw in our small group. the way i saw you all love each other, the way you loved me and the way we talked with each other, prayed for each other and supported each other. i know this past year has been a crazy one for most of us and hasn't had nearly as much time together as i would have liked, but one of the many things i love about our group is that when we come back together we don't miss a beat!
here's to four amazing years, the many more to come, d-funk camp and eventually moving into the same nursing home!

love,
whitney

ps- i'm heading out of harrisonburg thursday. hopefully i will get to say goodbye to those who are still around!
